The Press was founded in Reno, NV, in 2019, and is named for the mountain (elevation 8,269) that towers over Reno’s west side. You can see a picture of Peavine below.
Reno, home of the original University of Nevada campus, is located in Northern Nevada’s high desert, close to Lake Tahoe, the California border, and the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range.
We are deeply grateful to our design partner, Kathleen Szawiola, of Szawiola Design in Reno for her support, good humor, and many, many contributions to the publication of Searching for Nora. Our thanks also go to Annette Wenda for her skilled copyediting and to Kimberly Glyder for her beautiful and evocative cover design.
Kate McMillan of Portland, OR, has done a terrific job designing the SearchingforNora.com web site. We are grateful to our printing and distribution partners at Bookmobile/Itasca Books in Minneapolis, MN. The beautiful logo for Peavine Mountain Press is the handiwork of Job Zheng and Ben Shepard – thank you!
